New goal on the recreation ground

Foxton Parish Council has recently purchased and put up a single goal on the recreation ground for anyone to use for informal football practice.

Please use this goal responsibly and within the current Covid guidelines.

This has been done as a temporary measure while the Parish Council S106 Working Group moves towards finding a permanent solution to the need for informal sport on the recreation ground.

Grass over- seeding of the main areas on the recreation ground has just been completed, so we ask that other areas usually used for informal football are not used, in order that the grass seed has a good chance to take hold and also to reduce damage to the Bowls Club fence.

This over-seeding is part of the Parish Council’s Environmental Policy, designed to maximise grass growth, and thus reduce the need for weed control on the recreation ground.

Please contact Foxton Parish Council should you have any questions, or suggestions for the recreation ground by emailing: clerk@foxtonparishcouncil.gov.uk.

Thank you
Foxton Parish Council
